Smite
Fundamentals:
Smite is a a third person, multiplayer online battle arena. The game is like any other moba rule-wise, so the game should be pretty self explanatory to any moba player. As for the average player. The game is explained pretty in-depth. And, there is a review/info tab as well.
Controls:
The controls for your moves are all on the screen and are overall self explanatory as well. There is a jump button but it doesn't do anything but add some character to your.. character... But, all you really need to use to move is the thumb sticks. As for the bumpers, you can cancel any move you don't wish to use with the right one.
Navigation:
Navigation in Smite is pretty simple. You can even see the direction your moving on the mini-map and the game being in third person makes everything a lot clearer to the player.
Performance:
The game performs very well. But, since it is strictly online, your connection matters just as much as everyone else's. Other than that, if you have a decent at-home wifi connection I'm sure you'll be fine and the game will run smoothly.
Gameplay:
The gameplay in smite can be somewhat repetitive but if you're a fan of mobas it should be no problem. On top of that, there are many other wonderful game modes that are quite different from the average three lane strategy based mode; Conquest. The game also does a great job at giving you a selection of characters as the game has nearly 100 characters to pick from and learn to play as.
Review:
I am giving Smite a 9/10. Smite is an excellent change of pace compared to the traditional top-down mobas that we all know and lover. Or don't love, whatever. It's still a great game to play. I definitely recommend it.

Destiny 2
(Note)
Let me start off by saying that it doesn't nearly match it's predecessor (Destiny) by any means necessary and that's saying something. Because we all know that Destiny was already a big controversial game in many aspects as well. Anyway, let me start the actual review.
Fundamentals:
The game is just like the previous one in the sense that it's a "Halo-esc" interplanetary travelling shooter. Upon starting the game you are asked to choose one of three classes; Titan, Hunter, Warlock.
The Titan class is focused more on strength, being "tanky" and being an overall wall for your other teammates. Next, the hunter class is primed towards dealing damage and having high agility and movement while on the battlefield. Finally, the Warlock class. A class that is built around healing and supporting your teammates with buffs, wide AOE coverage and high health and ability recovery. After selecting your preferred class you are asked to customize your character/guardian. The customization in the game is very lack luster and is the exact same from the last game. You'll have the choice of three different races in the game; the Awoken, Exo and Humans. None of which have an effect on your characters story or game-play so I won't further digress. Upon completion of creating your "guardian of the light" you will be launched into the first cut-scene of the story.
Controls:
The controls in Destiny 2 are just the same as the last game in the franchise. Overall, mechanically the game is pretty self-explanatory. It plays the same as most shooters with addition of differences in abilities spanning across the classes and sub-classes. Navigation:
The levels and missions in Destiny 2 are relatively similar to the last game in a "defend this or defend that" sense. You're primarily using your ghost to get something or unlock something and your either defending yourself from hoards of enemies for 5-10 minutes with a possible boss fight at the end of each one. And, most of the boss fights in the base game are just re-skinned bosses from the previous game. I will say that the game does redeem itself on some missions with some interactive points in the game. Otherwise the navigation from level to level is pretty simple and doesn't require much thought to complete them.
Performance:
Destiny 2 and even Destiny 1 have stunning graphics and overall a very immersive world graphics-wise. Especially with Destiny 2 being released on pc and not just console, the graphics in the game really get to shine. Sadly, the the game worlds end up becoming quite lack luster after traversing them over and over repeatedly grinding for loot that it just becomes unbearable. Even with the added "dungeon" system and other little details added to the games' patrols, the game is still repetitive.
Gameplay:
Honestly, the games concept isn't the most well received. It titles itself as an open-world RPG, but I always end up feeling like I have nothing to do in the game. The game is more of a slow paced, laid back looter-shooter. The game lacks most of what it states it has. I find myself coming to the games pvp more than anything else, the end game portion of Destiny is so irrelevant that I've done the raid on all three sub-classes several times over just to be uninterested in the loot I've gained from it each and every time. There really isn't much to do other than the raid either. You could do the nightfall, but for what? The challenge? I don't know about you but I do love a challenge but if I'm going through some "great" challenge I'd rather get rewarded substantially for it. Destiny 2's Player vs. Environment is god awful in the most important aspects and is once again REPETITIVE.
Note 2 (side-note):
Destiny 2 is a visually pleasing game in many ways and really does encapsulate the distant future space world that we all love to dream about. Some of the gear in the game is pretty great but also somewhat lackluster in numerous ways; one time use shaders, reskins and tons of ways of egging you on to pay for some decent looking gear with micro-transactions. The game has it's good things/moments but it's so hard for me to list any major details to a point where the rest hardly matter.
Review:
I am giving Destiny 2 a 6.5/10. The game is good but lacks ambition and is incredibly repetitive (just like the use of that word in this review). For a game that came out three years after the initial game of the series came out, I expected much more.
